讲座内容简介：
One of the popular directions in the theory of finite groups today is the characterization of groups by a list of parameters. In the talk, we will discuss recognizability by spectrum, that is the set of element orders of a given group. It is known that every finite group with a nontrivial normal soluble subgroup is non-recognizable, therefore of prime interest is the characterization problem for nonabelian simple groups. Today, the question of recognizability of simple groups by spectrum remains open only in the case of classical simple groups. We will consider the recent results in this direction.
